Diagnostic Code 7309 · 38 CFR §4.114
Stomach stenosis, also called pyloric stenosis in adults, is a narrowing of the outlet from the stomach to the small intestine. This narrowing makes it difficult for food to pass through normally, causing persistent nausea, vomiting of undigested food, bloating, and a feeling of fullness after eating very little. In veterans, this can develop from chronic ulcer disease, scarring from stomach injuries, or as a complication of stomach surgery. The condition often leads to significant weight loss because the body simply cannot process enough food.
