What Is It?

This code covers injuries to the lips that affect function such as eating, drinking, speaking, or holding saliva. Lip injuries can result from combat wounds, vehicular accidents, burns, or surgical procedures during service. Functional impairment from lip injuries can make eating messy and difficult, cause drooling, and affect speech clarity.
