Diagnostic Code 7307 · 38 CFR §4.114
Hypertrophic gastritis is a condition where the stomach lining becomes abnormally thickened and inflamed. This leads to chronic stomach pain, nausea, and digestive problems. Veterans often develop this after prolonged use of NSAIDs for service-connected pain conditions, exposure to contaminated water, or high-stress environments during service. The thickened stomach lining can interfere with normal digestion and cause persistent discomfort that affects daily life.
