Diagnostic Code 7521 · 38 CFR §§4.115b

What Is It?

This diagnostic code covers the loss of the glans (head) of the penis due to a service-connected cause. The glans contains a high concentration of nerve endings and plays a role in both urinary and reproductive function. Loss of the glans may result from traumatic injury during service, surgical treatment for penile conditions, or other service-related causes. Like other anatomical losses affecting reproductive organs, veterans with this condition may qualify for special monthly compensation beyond the schedular rating.
