Frequently Asked Questions

What is SMC-K and how much additional compensation does it provide?

SMC-K is an additional monthly payment (currently over $100/month) for loss of use of a creative organ, which includes loss of use of one eye. It is paid on top of your regular disability compensation and does not affect your schedular percentage.
