Diagnostic Code 6065 · 38 CFR §4.79
DC 6065 applies when corrected visual acuity is 20/70 in both eyes. At this level of vision loss, reading standard print becomes difficult, road signs are harder to read at normal distances, and many daily tasks require adaptation. This bilateral moderate vision loss rates at 30 percent.

Current ophthalmology or optometry examination with best-corrected visual acuity testing in each eye separately. Documentation of the underlying service-connected condition causing the bilateral vision loss.
Most states require at least 20/40 corrected vision for unrestricted driving. With bilateral 20/70, you may face driving restrictions, which is relevant evidence of functional impairment for your VA claim.
