Diagnostic Code 6512 · 38 CFR §4.97
Chronic frontal sinusitis is persistent inflammation and infection of the frontal sinuses, located in the forehead above the eyes. This condition causes forehead headaches, pressure above the eyes, nasal congestion, and thick nasal discharge. The frontal sinuses are especially prone to complications because of their location near the brain. Veterans may develop chronic frontal sinusitis from repeated infections during service, facial trauma, environmental exposures like dust or chemical irritants, or as a complication of other nasal conditions.
